Student Conduct/Alcohol (p.5)/Alcohol D. - No person may provide alcohol to any person who is less than 21 years of age
Student Conduct/Hazing (p. 8)/Hazing B. - Any activity requiring the consumption of food, alcohol, liquid, drugs or other substances.
Student Conduct/Hazing (p. 8)/Hazing A. - Any activity that causes or requires the student to perform a task that involves violation of the University Code of Conduct, or local, state or federal law.
Sanction(s):
Probation: Probation effectively immediately through Spring 2020. Any further violations while on Probation may result in the Chapter's suspension or revocation of Charter. The Chapter will remain on probationary status, at least, through the date indicated or until the date all assigned sanctions have been completed, whichever occurs later.
Alcohol Education – Think About It: All members of the Chapter must complete the online "Think About It: Alcohol" course. Each student will receive an e-mail once the course is assigned to them. The course may be accessed via http://thinkaboutit.salisbury.edu. Submit a Certificate of Completion to studentconduct@salisbury.edu by the stated deadline.
Other: All members of the Chapter must complete the online "Hazing Prevention 101™ Course - College Edition" course and the "Fraternity & Sorority Life" made available through https://prevent.zone/hazing/. The Chapter must make the necessary arrangements and incur any cost associated with the online education program. Submit proof of completion for all Chapter members to studentconduct@salisbury.edu by the stated deadline.
Other: An individual designated by the National Office (i.e., national officer, leadership consultant, or advisor) must be in attendance at all new member education events and social functions through the probationary period.
Other: An individual designated by the National Office (i.e., national officer, leadership consultant, or advisor) must provide in-person educational programming in regard to the new member education program, to include the topics of hazing and alcohol, to the entire Chapter membership once each Spring semester during the probationary period. The Chapter must notify the Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator of the training schedule and submit the name of the individual(s) for approval.
Restriction: The Chapter is restricted from hosting any social functions or "unofficial events" in which alcohol is served during the probationary period.
Other: The Chapter will provide monthly updates on progress towards sanction completion and/or any educational programming plans to the University's Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator.
