15th 成人抖阴Fall Dance Showcase November 10-13

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Dance Company hosts its 15th annual Fall Showcase 8 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, November 10-13, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.  This popular production features performances by guest artist Donna Salgado, the Hip Hop Kids from Salisbury Urban Ministries, and Trabuco, a salsa dance company from Baltimore and works by guest choreographer Peyton Royal and four premieres by Company members. Salgado, alumni member of the Company, performs the Kitri Variation from Don Quixote, a classical ballet, and a modern solo to music sung by Etta James.  A Maryland Distinguished Scholar, Salgado is a senior majoring in dance performance at Towson University, where she performs with the TU Dance Company.  Royal makes his Eastern Shore choreographic debut with Big Spender, a finale that pays homage to Broadway legend Bob Fosse. Charles Burbage of Seaford, DE, is a featured performer.  Royal holds a BFA summa cum laude in dance performance from Oklahoma City University.  His dance credits include choreography for The Sound of Music (Tulsa Opera).  He has performed in A Christmas Carol (New York) and Beauty and the Beast (Boston), on national tours, and Music Theatre of Wichita productions.     Sophomore Carina Briggs presents Dancin’ in the Street.  Set to the music of Survivor, it presents a vignette of tap dancers gathering on a city street. Being A Girl compares the stereotypes of women from the 1950s to today.  Choreographed by junior Fiona Green, it features colorful costumes, stage sets and props and is danced to a tune sung by Doris Day and music by No Doubt. Joy is a colorful and lyrical dance to music by Michael W. Smith.  Choreographed by junior Laura Plitt, it reflects the joy she receives from belief in Jesus Christ. Admission for the one-hour performance is $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens, teens, and 成人抖阴alumni.  Children under 12 and 成人抖阴ID holders are admitted free.  Reservations are not required.  Tickets are available at the door 30 minutes before curtain. The concert benefits the Hip Hop Kids at Salisbury Urban Ministries, a local organization whose programs include the Lazarus Fund Food Pantry and the Kid Caf茅 partnership with the Maryland Food Bank.
