SU's PACE Co-Hosts Two Political Candidate Forums

PACESALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement co-hosts two political candidate forums in October.

Wicomico County Council candidates Bob Culver (Republican, incumbent), John Hamilton (Democrat) and Jack Heath (Independent) answer questions about local issues on Wednesday, October 10. WBOC-TV anchor Todd Karli moderates.

Maryland Senate District 38 candidates Jim Mathias (Democrat, incumbent) and Mary Beth Carozza (Republican) discuss issues in their district on Tuesday, October 16. WBOC-TV anchor Steve Hammond moderates.

Co-sponsored by the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and Greater Salisbury Committee, both forums are 7 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of SU’s Guerrieri Student Union.

Topics are expected to include education investment, public safety, the opioid addiction crisis and local infrastructure such as the Port of Salisbury and Salisbury Regional Airport.
