City Dedicates 'Dudley-Eshbach Way' in Honor of 成人抖阴President Emerita

Dudley-Eshbach WaySalisbury, MD---Dr. Janet Dudley-Eshbach, who is stepping down as Salisbury University’s President at the end of the week, received a surprise gift from the City of Salisbury: a street named in her honor!

Officials said a portion of Camden Avenue, running through one of the City’s loveliest residential areas and bordering some of the most historic buildings on campus, will bear the honorary title of “Dr. Janet Dudley-Eshbach Way.”

Surrounded by some 150 well-wishers from both the city and campus, City Administrator Julia Glanz (an 成人抖阴alumna); City Council President Jack Heath; Bob Moore, chair of the 成人抖阴Foundation, Inc.; and Mayor Jake Day, stepped to the podium to praise the President’s accomplishments. They lauded her impact on the campus, the community and region.

“Over the past 18 years, the institution has grown in enrollment, physical footprint, and stature – consistently ranking among the best colleges and universities in America in publications like Money magazine and the Princeton Review.  成人抖阴is truly a Maryland university of national, and increasingly international, distinction," said Day. “Dr. Janet’s focus on town-gown matters has had a remarkable effect on the relationship between the University and the surrounding community.  Symbolically, I think there’s no better way to commemorate the connections she has fostered than by dedicating that portion of Camden which leads to SU’s front door, Dudley-Eshbach Way.”

The President thanked everyone: “How overwhelming this is,” she said. “I am deeply humbled. I love this University and I will continue to support our community and region,” she reassured them. After the unveiling, as she and the Mayor were admiring the sign, “It’s a long name,” she joked.
