Dr. John Wesley Wright Continues Feature Friday Series

John Wesley WrightSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s spring Feature Friday downtown Salisbury performance series begins February 8 with a “Freedom Sing-Along” featuring Dr. John Wesley Wright and vocalists from his studio.

All presentations in the series are 6-7 p.m. at The Brick Room, 116 N. Division St.

Wright, voice professor in SU’s Music, Theatre and Dance Department, is an acclaimed tenor who has toured throughout the U.S. and beyond. He is known for his artistic and soulful interpretations of multiple musical styles. The coordinator of SU’s voice and opera workshop programs, he also is a member of the renowned American Spiritual Ensemble and winner of the 2000 American Traditions Competition.

Upcoming performances this semester include:

•    March 8 – Red Letter Day, featuring Suzanna Mallow, 成人抖阴multimedia assistant (guitar); Colleen Clark, assistant professor of music technology (guitar); and alumnae Andrea Jones (saxophone) and Becca Doughty (percussion)

•    April 12 – Drs. Sachi Murasugi, violin, and Jeffrey Schoyen, cello, of the 成人抖阴Music, Theatre and Dance Department

•    May 10 – Guitarists Dave Raizen, 成人抖阴information technology developer and analyst, and Jerry Schnickelfritz
