成人抖阴Spotlights Counseling Services on World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health DaySALISBURY, MD---As nations around the globe commemorate World Mental Health Day on Saturday, October 10, the Salisbury University Counseling Center joins in this celebration by providing opportunities for the 成人抖阴community to access a variety of mental health services.

The Counseling Center is cognizant of the various ways in which multiple stressors have impacted and continue to impact the mental health of the university community. In additional to therapeutic services, outreach programs, and daily meditation services, the center offers a variety of virtual support groups for students this semester.

“Although the college experience is a memorable time in the life of our students, the last few months have presented unusual learning experiences for our students as they have dealt with a variety of challenges including COVID-19 and resulting stressors, racial injustice and virtual learning,” said Dr. Lilian Odera, 成人抖阴Counseling Center Director.

“I cannot underscore the importance of mental health awareness in our community as we experience the intersection of these stressors and their impact. With an awareness of barriers that may stand in the way of students seeking traditional mental health services, we recognize the need to provide our students with a variety of mental health resources.”

The Counseling Center offers support groups which provide an exclusive virtual space for students with a shared identity to gather and support each other as they discuss issues pertaining to their unique identity and build a sense of community and belonging.

Support groups offered this semester, and their contacts, include:
