SU's Community Health Program Earns CEPH Accreditation
SALISBURY, MD--- Salisbury University’s Community Health Program recently earned accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
“I'm proud to say our program is on the forefront of public health at the undergraduate level in achieving this seal of credibility,” said Dr. Brandye Nobiling, chair of the Community Health Program. “This validates the quality and high standard of education provided to our students.”
“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our community health faculty and staff who work diligently to make the program successful,” said Dr. Kelly Fiala, dean of SU’s College of Health and Human Services. “I am proud that all programs in the College of Health and Human Services are accredited.”
The academic foundations of the Community Health Program are rooted in the natural and social sciences and education. The community health major includes a General Education experience, a theoretical core of public health foundation courses, and a professional semester consisting of an internship in the field of community health.
The CEPH is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools and programs of public health at the baccalaureate and graduate degree levels, including those offered via distance education.
