成人抖阴Announces Spring Writers on the Shore Series
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s spring Writers on the Shore series features award-winning authors and the launch of the next issue of SU’s literary journal.
Presentations are 8 p.m. on select Wednesdays in the Worcester Room of the Commons, unless otherwise noted.
Upcoming authors in the series include:
- February 16 – Kate McIntyre: McIntyre’s first story collection, Mad Prairie, was selected by Roxane Gay as the winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award. She is a recipient of residencies at The Hambidge Center, PLAYA and the Spring Creek Project. She also has a notable essay in Best American Essays and two special mentions in Pushcart Prize anthologies.
- March 9 – Tim Denevi: Denevi is an associate professor in the M.F.A. Program at George Mason University, where he teaches nonfiction. His most recent book is Freak Kingdom: Hunter S. Thompson’s Manic Ten-Year Crusade Against American Fascism. He is also the author of Hyper. His essays on politics, sports and religion have appeared in New York, Literary Hub and Salon, and on CNN.com.
- April 6 – Michael Waters and Mihaela Moscaliuc: Waters’ recent books include Caw, The Dean of Discipline and the coedited anthology Border Lines: Poems of Migration. Darling Vulgarity was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and Parthenopi: New & Selected Poems was a finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize. He has chaired the poetry panel for the National Book Awards. The recipient of five Pushcart Prizes and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Fulbright Foundation and New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Waters is an 成人抖阴professor emeritus of English. Moscaliuc is the author of the poetry collections Cemetery Ink, Immigrant Model and Father Dirt; and translator of Liliana Ursu’s Clay and Star and Carmelia Leonte’s The Hiss of the Viper.
- April 27, Perdue Hall Auditorium – Scarab Launch: Students read a selection of their work from the 2022 edition of SU’s literary journal, Scarab.
Sponsored by the English Department, admission is free and the public is invited.
In-person attendees are required to wear a KN95 mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave any 成人抖阴event for non-compliance.
All attendees must complete an online COVID-19 screening on the day of their visit, prior to coming to the 成人抖阴campus.
