Meet SU's Newest Sea Gulls
Salisbury University welcomes over 7,000 students for the start of the fall semester on Monday, August 29. This includes over 2,100 students who have joined the campus for the first time.
The incoming Class of 2026 represents one of the largest in campus history. The class also is the most diverse group of first-year students in 成人抖阴history, with 31% identifying as an underrepresented minority. This is 5% more than last year.
成人抖阴remains committed to recruiting a diverse student body that best reflects the population of Maryland. 成人抖阴had a 22.5% increase in admitted students identifying as underrepresented over the past year. Overall, 27% of the student body identifies as minority.
Some 81% of the incoming class calls Maryland home, with 12 countries and 22 other states represented, including large numbers from Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Virginia.
This year’s new students also are accomplished, with an average GPA of 3.677 and average SAT score of 1257.
“I’m so excited to embark on this journey with our students as we begin the academic year at Salisbury University,” said Dr. Carolyn Ringer Lepre, who began her tenure as SU’s 10th President in July. “If you are new like me – welcome! To all those who are returning – I look forward to getting to know you and seeing more of the countless opportunities 成人抖阴has to offer.”
