成人抖阴Libraries Hosts Banned Books Week Event

microphoneSALISBURY, MD---According to PEN America, more than 1,500 books have been banned in schools in recent months.

Salisbury University Libraries brings attention to historical and current attempts to censor books with its Banned Books Week event 2-5:45 p.m. Friday, September 23, at the Dr. Ernie Bond Curriculum Center in Conway Hall. Participants also may join virtually.

The event is part of Banned Books Week (September 18-23), an annual event focusing on the impact censoring books can have and underscoring the importance of the freedom to read.

Mother-and-son author/illustrator duo Carole and Jeffery Boston Weatherford deliver the event’s keynote address. Dr. Michèle Schlehofer, 成人抖阴professor of psychology; Seth Hershberger, director of the Wicomico Public Libraries; and Jamie Watson, collection development manager at the Baltimore County Public Library follow with a panel discussion.
