Percussion Festival at 成人抖阴Set for April 20-28

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts its annual Percussion Festival April 20-April 28 in Holloway Hall. All events begin at 7:30 p.m.

Along with recording artists, the festival event features performances from 成人抖阴students and faculty.

Performances include:

  • Thursday, April 20, Holloway Hall Auditorium – 成人抖阴Percussion Ensemble: Under the direction of Eric Shuster, the ensemble presents new, classic and underperformed works for percussion in the spirit of the genre’s experimental roots in 1930s and 1940s America. Among works performed is the premiere of a piece by Kenyan composer Nyokabi Kariuki.
  • Friday, April 21, Holloway Hall Auditorium – 成人抖阴World Drum Ensemble: The World Drum Experience features Afro Beat, Latin and classic rock from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Featured are music by the Grateful Dead, Fela Kuti, The Doobie Brothers, Bob Marley and an original student composition.
  • Saturday, April 22, Holloway Hall Great Hall – Recap: The New Jersey-based percussion quartet presents music reflecting today’s diverse society. Its debut album, Count to Five, was included in National Public Radio’s “Top 10 Classical Albums of 2021.”
  • Tuesday, April 25, Holloway Hall Auditorium – Chris Lankford senior recital
  • Friday, April 28, Holloway Hall Great Hall – Eric Gehl and Benjamin Rodman student recital    

Admission is free for student recitals, but tickets are required. Tickets for the other three concerts are $10, $5 for seniors. Admission is free for faculty, staff and students.

Tickets are available through SU’s performing arts box office. Patrons are asked to park in Camden Lot F (Blackwell Hall).
