成人抖阴Hosts Humanities Seminar 'The Silk Road' September 30
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts continues its Adventures in Ideas Humanities: Seminar Series with the presentation “The Silk Road” 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, September 30, in Conway Hall Room 179.
The age of the West is at a crossroads. Increasingly, it appears to be rebalancing toward the East. In the East, meanwhile, the Silk Road is rising again – networks and connections are quietly appearing across the spine of Asia.
For millennia, the Silk Road facilitated the exchange of goods, religions, ideas, technologies and more between the Pacific Ocean and the Mediterranean. Is the world’s center of gravity shifting back to a region that once dominated the intellectual, cultural and economic landscape?
Attendees explore the rich history of the Silk Road and contemplate together its future with Drs. Emin Lelic, associate professor of history, and Hong Yao, professor of economics and finance.
Sponsored by the Fulton School and the Whaley Family Foundation, admission is $30, $50 for two people, including continental breakfast and light lunch.
