SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts two concerts on its Samuel R. Brown and William D. Church Carillon, at the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons, this summer.

Carillonneur Gerald Martindale performs the first concert 7 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Dr. William Folger plays 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27. John Widmann plays 3 p.m. Saturday, August 3. Dr. Andrea McCrady plays the final concert 7 p.m. Saturday, August 10.

Martindale teaches carillon and organ, and sings in two community choirs. In August, he concluded his 10th tour of Europe, performing 11 carillon recitals in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

His 成人抖阴performance includes a mix of folk songs, hymns, romantic pieces and popular songs, including Paul Simon’s “The Sound of Silence” and Harry Warren’s “That’s Amore.”

McCrady began playing the carillon in 1971 at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She served for many years on the board of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America, including a term as president from 1988-89.

Her 成人抖阴performance includes classical bell tunes such as Michel Allard’s “Bells in the Wind,” Emmett Adams’ “The Bells of St. Mary’s” and Clarence Lyndon’s “When the Peace Bells Ring.”

Admission is free and the public is invited. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating to The Square, adjacent to the Guerrieri Academic Commons.
