Art by SU's Kim Featured in 'Looking East' Series

'Hybrid' by Jinchul Kim

SALISBURY, MD---Artworks from Salisbury University art faculty Jinchul Kim are part of VisArts at Rockville’s “Looking East: A Celebration of Asian Culture” series January 12-February 20.

Kim is among artists showcased in the exhibit “Fused Identity: Contemporary Asian Artists,” curated by Komelia Okim, professor of art and coordinator of crafts at Montgomery College.

A reception is 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 29, celebrating Lunar New Year Family Day. The event includes performances, cultural foods, a curator's gallery talk and art activities. Presentations are given in English and Mandarin.

Sponsored by the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States, admission is free and the public is invited. The gallery is located at 155 Gibbs St., Suite 300, in Rockville, MD.
