Artists Sought For Third Annual Sea Gull Century Print Contest
SALISBURY, MD---The annual Sea Gull Century print is a tradition almost as revered as the Century bike ride itself. Salisbury University invites artists to enter their designs for the 2007 print during the third annual Sea Gull Century Art Contest.
Pre-registration materials are due Friday, December 1. Entry deadline is noon Wednesday, February 14. The Sea Gull Century Committee will complete its review of submissions by Wednesday, February 27.
The winning print will be reproduced and sold during the 19th annual Sea Gull Century on October 6 and be used in promotional materials prior to the ride. The winner receives $1,000.
All submitted works must contain a sea gull and a bicycle. Preference is given to paintings between 16 inches by 20 inches and 24 inches by 36 inches. Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolor and combinations thereof. All entries must include a label on the back with the artist’s name, address, telephone number and title or location of the painting.
