SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for Wicomico County and surrounding areas from 10 p.m. Friday, December 16, to 9 a.m. Saturday, December 17. Ice may create slippery conditions, especially on overpasses, bridges and sidewalks.
Salisbury University’s 91st-year Fall Commencement that morning at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center is expected to continue as scheduled. Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting freezing rain mixed with snow in Salisbury and the surrounding area from 3-4 a.m. Saturday, December 17, followed by freezing rain tapering off to rain by mid-morning.
Salisbury University’s 91st-year Fall Commencement that morning at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center is expected to continue as scheduled.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) has forecasted freezing rain to begin in Salisbury and the surrounding area after 1 a.m. Saturday, December 17, making a light accumulation of ice possible on roadways. The freezing rain is expected to mix with rain after 5 a.m., changing over to all rain by mid-morning. Wind gusts as high as 25 mph are predicted.

A “wintry mix” of precipitation, including sleet and freezing rain, is forecasted late Friday night into early Saturday morning, making a light accumulation of ice possible on roadways, according to the NWS. Precipitation is expected to change over to all rain by 8 a.m. Saturday.
