Culture, Costumes andDance of India Come to 成人抖阴October 5"

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---India’s costumes, classical dance and 5,000-year-old customs come to Salisbury University as artist Sudha Bhagwat performs “India: its Culture, Costumes and Classical Dance” 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall. An Indian dance lesson precedes the performance at 5:30 p.m.

class=""MsoNormal"">During her performance, Bhagwat immerses the audience in the ornately textured music of the sitar and introduces the gesture language of ancient Indian theatre. She also displays the varied costumes and rich mythology of Indian dance—as well as the proper way to wear a Sari.

class=""MsoNormal"">Bhatwat has performed throughout the world as a solo artist and in ensemble groups at venues including the Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre, New York Opera, embassies and schools. Traveling to India frequently allows her to add new repertoire to her show, keeping her representation of Indian culture fresh into the 21st century.

class=""MsoNormal"">Both the dance lesson and performance are free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6445 or visit the 成人抖阴Web site at www.salisbury.edu. "
