'Digitizing Delmarva' Premieres Saturday, April 5
SALISBURY, MD---From miniature decoys and high school sports to fox hunting and World War II, the first two episodes of PAC 14’s Digitizing Delmarva Heritage and Traditions series take viewers on a nostalgic journey.
The show premieres 9 p.m. Saturday, April 5, with the episode “A Chat With Charlie Berry.” During the program, the long time Delmarva resident talks about growing up and the growth of high school sports programs on the Eastern Shore, as well as his love of miniature decoy carving.
A second episode, “Hamilton P. Fox—Master of the Hunt,” airs 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 8. Fox, a decorated war hero, reminisces about his early days fox hunting with the Wicomico Hunt Club and offers anecdotes from life both on and off the Shore.
Digitizing Delmarva is an initiative to preserve local heritage for future generations through recorded interviews and mini-documentaries. Formed through a partnership between PAC 14, Salisbury University and regional historical groups, viewers are encouraged to suggest story ideas and contribute their own videos.
