'Ethics and Multiculturalism' Social Work Workshop October 6
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Social Work Department explores multiculturalism and its implication in the social work field during the workshop “Ethics and Multiculturalism” 9 a.m.-noon Friday, October 6, in Nanticoke Rooms A and B of the Guerrieri University Center.
Dr. Joyce Bell, social work faculty at SU, instructs the workshop. Topics include using the social worker’s code of ethics as a guide to best practice methods when working with different cultures and understanding the social worker’s responsibility as culturally competent practitioners. Other areas covered include ethical dilemmas that may occur in multicultural settings and ways to address differences from a diverse social work prospective.
The Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners certifies that this program meets the criteria for three credit hours of Category I Continuing Education Units for social workers and associates licensed in the state.
Fees for the course are $45 for social workers, $25 for current social work field instructors and students from 成人抖阴and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Day-of registrants pay an additional $10 fee and may register between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
