SALISBURY, MD---How can the arts be used to stimulate local economies? How can universities and their arts programs be drivers for municipal and regional growth?
Jeff M. Poulin, arts education program coordinator for the non-profit organization Americans for the Arts, discusses the ways in which the arts can act as a catalyst for development as part of this fall’s Bellavance Honors Program Lecture Series at Salisbury University.
His presentation, “Investing in Community: The Arts as a Priority,” is 7 p.m. Thursday, September 25, in Perdue Hall’s Bennett Family Auditorium.
Poulin joined Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for the advancement of the arts, after graduating from the University College of Dublin and working for the Irish national government.
