成人抖阴Celebrates Women's History Month in March

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University celebrates Women’s History Month with theatre, cinema and music in March.

The Vagina Monologues, performed Thursday-Saturday, March 2-4, at 8 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of Guerrieri University Center inaugurates the series. 成人抖阴students Kimmie Lennon and Erika Mitry direct Eve Ensler’s play, which is based on over 200 interviews of diverse groups of women from around the world. Ensler explores violence against women, a taboo subject, with hilarity and heartbreak. Sponsored by Dr. Chrys Egan and Jennifer Hart of the Communication and Theatre Arts Department, admission is $5 at the door and benefits the Life Crisis Center. Gull Card donations also are accepted.

The celebration continues with a screening and discussion of the 2000 film The Contender 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in Henson Hall Room 111, sponsored by Diane Illig of the Sociology Department. The movie centers on Laine Hanson (Joan Allen), a U.S. senator nominated to become vice president. However, political opponents viciously attack her personal life during the confirmation process, spreading information and disinformation about her sexual past.

“Faculty, Folks and Friends,” a faculty concert, concludes the series 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in Cool Beans at the Guerrieri University Center. Sponsored by Diana Wagner of the Samuel W. and Marilyn C. Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies, the performance features folk music in a casual setting. All events are free unless otherwise noted. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the 成人抖阴Web site at www.salisbury.edu. "
