成人抖阴Relay For Life Scheduled May 2-3
SALISBURY, MD---For the past four years, Salisbury University’s Relay For Life has been named one of the top collegiate Relays in the nation, and organizers are gearing up for another highly successful event in May.
Opening ceremonies for the American Cancer Society’s signature fund-raiser begin 6 p.m. Friday, May 2, at SU’s Intramural Fields, immediately followed by a survivors’ lap. Closing ceremonies are 6 a.m. Saturday, May 3. This year’s theme is “The Movies.”
Nearly 100 teams of 成人抖阴students, faculty and staff are participating along with families and community groups. In all, more than 800 have signed up so far, and more than $37,000 has already been pledged. All proceeds benefit cancer research, education, patient services and advocacy programs.
Last year, SU’s Relay raised some $101,000 for the society, marking the third year contributions topped $100,000. 成人抖阴has been named one of only 20 “Leaders of Hope” by Colleges Against Cancer, an American Cancer Society program that unites college students, faculty and staff from more than 300 campuses in the fight against cancer. 成人抖阴also was named Colleges Against Cancer’s “Rookie of the Year” Relay chapter. In all, the University has raised more than $400,000 for cancer research in the past six years.
The American Cancer Society is a nationwide community-based organization dedicated to eliminating cancer through efforts such as Relay For Life, which in the past 20 years has spread to more than 4,500 U.S. communities and 12 foreign countries.
