SU's Spring Writers on the Shore Series Returns February 17
SALISBURY, MD---Author Pedro Ponce inaugurates Salisbury University’s spring Writers on the Shore series with a reading from his works 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, in the Worcester Room of the Commons.
Ponce is the author of Stories After Goya and Superstitions of Apartment Life, winner of Burnside Review’s 2008 fiction chapbook contest. He is currently working on the dystopian noir novel Dreamland, excerpts from which have appeared in the online journal Transmission.
His fiction also has been published in Ploughshares, Copper Nickel, A cappella Zoo, Ecotone and Witness, among other journals. His work has been anthologized in The Beacon Best of 2001, Sudden Fiction Latino and DIAGRAM: The Second Print Anthology.
A 2012 National Endowment for the Arts fellow in creative writing, he teaches writing and literary theory at St. Lawrence University.
