SALISBURY, MD---Online auctions are a growing avenue for developing small and part-time businesses. Whether you are a retailer wishing to move excess inventory, a collector trying to expand your client base or an individual trying to develop a part-time business that fits your schedule, marketing and selling on eBay may be for you.
"eBay Smart Start" is a course designed to take you through the registration and listing process for selling goods on eBay and developing an eBay store. Co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Salisbury University and Chesapeake College, the next session is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, September 16, in Room AUD-01 of the Performing Arts Center at Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, MD.
The course also is offered at Salisbury University, on Thursday, September 22, 2005, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in Room 220 of the Power Professional Building at the corner of Wayne and Power streets in Salisbury.
Bob Willey of Trappe, MD, is the instructor. A PowerSeller and trading assistant on eBay, he offers advice, tips and protocol for the eBay world. Topics covered include: materials needed to start, how to register as a seller, rules and policies, Internet safety and security, seller fees, and U.S. and international shipping and selling.
