Six lifetime Sea Gulls making major contributions to their communities were lauded during the Salisbury University Alumni Association’s annual awards ceremony. Winners were recognized in four categories: Gulls of the Last Decade (GOLD), Alumni Leadership, Service to Society and Lifetime Achievement. Also recognized were this year’s Faculty Appreciation Award recipients.

Salisbury Independent: 成人抖阴First in Maryland to Offer Coastal Engineering Major

Salisbury University is set to offer a coastal engineering major this fall, the first in the state of Maryland. The program will help address a growing demand for licensed engineers by focusing on solving problems in coastal environments and preparing students through hands-on, project-based instruction in physics, engineering, geosciences and geographic information science.

What happens when one of the nation’s “Best Colleges” partners with the “Best Ice Cream Place in America”? A once-in-a-century opportunity to make history. Salisbury University, ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges in the U.S.” for more than two decades, is teaming up with Island Creamery — named the “Best Ice Cream Place in America” by USA Today — to create a new ice cream flavor in honor of SU’s 100th anniversary. 成人抖阴is inviting input from the public to participate in a contest to choose the special flavor.

WGMD: Ten from 成人抖阴Named Fulbright Student Semifinalists

Ten Salisbury University community members have been named Fulbright Student semifinalists for the 2025-26 program. The Fulbright is America’s flagship international exchange program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This year’s semifinalists represent nearly 50% of the University’s applicants. They received support from 成人抖阴faculty and staff who, along with providing application help, assisted with practice Fulbright interviews for all candidates.

MEDA: SU's Weer Named to Leadership Maryland Executive Program Class of 2025

Leadership Maryland officially announced the Executive Program’s Class of 2025, consisting of 53 business and community leaders from across the state chosen to participate in the professional development program dedicated to building a better Maryland. They include Dr. Christy Weer, dean of Salisbury University's Franklin P. Perdue School of Business.

SBY Business Journal: Two From 成人抖阴Earn Prestigious Gilman International Scholarship

Two Salisbury University students have received the U.S. Department of State's prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, providing them with opportunities to study abroad. Senior chemistry major Andersen Herman recently spent part of his winter term studying health behavior at the American Institute for Foreign Studies in Austria. Junior computer science and English major Sam Dickerson will spend part of his summer studying computer visualization in space at the University of Tartu, Estonia.

Leadership Maryland, the statewide nonprofit offering professional development programs dedicated to building a better Maryland by harnessing the strength of its business and community leaders, has announced the 36 individuals selected to participate in its Emerging Leader Program's second class. Members include Dr. Ryan Shifler, associate dean of SU's Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology at Salisbury University.
