成人抖阴Celebrates Earth Week April 17-21
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Student Government Association (SGA), Campus Sustainability and Environmental Safety Office, and Environmental Student Association celebrate Earth Week with events on campus Monday-Friday, April 17-21.
Activities include:
• Monday, April 17, noon-3 p.m. – SU’s Flora in the Quad: Free potted flowers will be available, with information on composting, native pollinators and the impact of traditional grass lawns from the 成人抖阴Gardening Club. Student beekeepers will be on hand to discuss the 成人抖阴apiary, and Dr. Jeremy Corfield of the 成人抖阴Biological Sciences Department will showcase his Bird Campus USA project and bird camera research.
• Tuesday, April 18, 3:45 p.m. – Sustainability Panel in Conway Hall Room 153: SU’s Dr. Sarak Surak, associate professor of political science, Rachael Faust, recycling coordinator, Chris Homeister, director of campus sustainability, and Dylan Laconich, City of Salisbury sustainability specialist, discuss how humans impact the planet and steps students can take to be more sustainable.
• Wednesday, April 19, noon-2 p.m. – Petting Zoo in the Quad: Visit and pet farm animals including alpacas, cows, goats and sheep.
• Thursday, April 20, 6 p.m. – Don't Look Up screening behind the Environmental Studies House (Camden Avenue): Watch the apocalyptic satire film that follows two astronomers who try to warn mankind about an approaching comet that is hurling towards Earth. Pizza will be served. Bringing reusable plates and utensils in an effort to be more sustainable is encouraged.
• Friday, April 21, noon-3 p.m. – The SGA’s semi-annual Recycle Madness event returns to The Square. Student organizations compete to see which can bring in the most recyclables by weight. Individual and group prizes will be awarded.
