SU's Andes Publishes First Children's Book, Illustrated by 成人抖阴Alumna
SALISBURY, MD---Jon Andes, professor of practice in Salisbury University’s Department of Leadership and Literacy Studies, has authored his first children’s book, The Legend of Billy Lee, American Hero, based on the real-life accounts of Lee.
The children’s book is illustrated by Olivia Momme, who earned her B.F.A. from 成人抖阴in 2012.
Published by Salt Water Media, LLC, the book tells the story of William "Billy" Lee, an enslaved person who was just 16 when he arrived at George Washington’s Mount Vernon plantation in the 1760s. From the time that Washington attended the Continental Congress through eight years of the Revolutionary War and presidency, Lee was with Washington at his side. At the Battle of Monmouth, New Jersy, Lee saved Washington’s life. Lee met the generals, soldiers and founders who created our country and served as the manservant to President Washington. He could not have imagined that he would become a witness to the birth of a nation, a personal aide to Washington and an American hero.
The book is available through major book sellers.
