'Daily Record' Honors SU's Bunch Among '20 in Their Twenties'
SALISBURY, MD---Sarah Bunch, assistant director of Salisbury University’s Business, Economic and Community Outreach Network (BEACON) has a philosophy: Work hard and give back.
That mantra recently earned her a spot on The Daily Record’s prestigious “20 in their Twenties” list, honoring young professionals in Maryland who are making a difference in their communities and beyond.
At BEACON, Bunch’s work in developing dashboards and decision support tools has helped influence corporate and public policy decisions in the mid-Atlantic. In addition, through BEACON, she helps train undergraduate and graduate students in business and economic modeling skills.
She was once in their shoes, starting as a research assistant with BEACON in 2006 while pursuing B.S. degrees in management and marketing at SU. She held several positions with BEACON before becoming its assistant director in 2012.
During that time, she also has furthered her education, earning her M.B.A. from 成人抖阴in 2009. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Leadership at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
Beyond SU, Bunch has given back to the community through involvement with Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore, SU’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business Career Advisory Board and the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club.
Bunch hopes to use the skills she has gained through BEACON, at 成人抖阴and through her community service to become a social entrepreneur and continue her position as a community leader.
“I see my purpose in life as using my abilities and skills to better the world around me,” the Annapolis native said.
A reception honoring this year’s “20 in their Twenties” honorees is scheduled 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Gertrude’s at the Baltimore Museum of Art. For more information visit .
