G.I.R.L.S. Rule Conference Registration Due June 15
SALISBURY, MD---Featuring topics such as “So You Want to be a Millionaire,” “College Girl,” and “Fit and Fabulous,” the G.I.R.L.S. RULE Conference is held at Salisbury University 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30 in Guerrieri University Center.
Presented by the University of Maryland School of Social Work and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the conference provides interactive sessions for “Girls who are Independent, Resourceful Leaders and Strong” (G.I.R.L.S. Rule).
Workshops, speakers and presentations are held for middle school girls in grades 6-8 who live in Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester and Somerset counties, as well as their parents and caregivers.
Topics covered include college admissions, money management, abstinence, anger management, fitness, personal style and appearance.
