成人抖阴Celebrates National French Week November 5-12
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Department of Modern Languages celebrates National French Week, November 5-12. Designed to recognize the diverse and important contributions of the French and French culture, a variety of activities are planned.
The week begins with a meeting of La Société Française, a French conversation group, at 4:30 p.m. Friday, November 2, at Adam's Ribs in Fruitland, MD.
Then two lectures in French are planned. Dr. Claire Kew speaks in French about "Tintin and French Comic Strips" 7 p.m. Monday, November 5, in Caruthers Hall. Dr. Corinne Pubill speaks 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, regarding "Musical Groups in France Today" in Caruthers Hall 108 from 7-8 p.m.
There is a French Dinner 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, in the Commons Bistro featuring rosemary chicken, coquilles St. Jacques, vegan cassoulet, a variety of vegetables and desserts and beverages. Violinist Stephanie Myers will perform. Cost of the meal is $9.68, $5.95 for children 6-12, free for children 5 and under.
On Thursday, November 8, the French film "Comme une Image" is shown with English subtitles at 7 p.m. in Caruthers Hall, Room 108. Rated PG-13, the film won the award for best screenplay at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.
National French Week concludes Saturday, November 10, with "An Evening of French Music,” presented by the Department of Music. 成人抖阴students perform a variety of French songs 7 pm. in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall, while French students of Dr. Arlene White will recite the text for the songs.
