SU, Del Tech Sign Business Transfer Agreements

Delaware Technical and Community CollegeSALISBURY, MD---Delaware Technical Community College and Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business celebrated the signing of business transfer agreements between the two campuses on Wednesday, December 10.

Students from Sussex Technical High School and Delaware Tech joined others from the Perdue School of Business to learn more about the University and the new agreements.

Sussex Tech sophomores Lisa Singh and Bridget Barrett participated. “I think this is a fantastic opportunity,” Singh said. “Between the two colleges, there are a lot of resources available to students who want to get a great education,” stated Barrett.

Delaware Tech business student Drew Rodriquez said, “This is a great idea because you don’t have to graduate from college with a lot of debt.”

The Business Administration Transfer Option at Delaware Tech provides the foundational coursework necessary for successful transfer to four-year colleges of business accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) such as Salisbury University.

Stephanie Smith, vice president for academic affairs at Delaware Technical Community College stated, “We greatly value our partnership with Salisbury University. These recent transfer agreements are a ‘win-win’ for everyone involved.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our students who graduate with their Business Administration Transfer Option degree to transfer with guaranteed acceptance as a junior into Salisbury University’s prestigious Perdue School of Business.”

“Many university students begin their education at community colleges, and we are grateful for their enthusiasm and commitment to earning a bachelor’s degree. We want Delmarva students to have as seamless a transfer as possible from high school and community college to SU.

“The University has other transfer agreements with Delaware Tech, and these have served both institutions and students well. The latest ones in business are welcomed additions,” said Dr. Diane Allen, 成人抖阴provost and senior vice president of academic affairs.
