SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Environmental Studies Colloquium Series continues with the presentation “Hybrid Ecologies and Relational Ontologies: Toward a Hopeful Environmentalism” 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, in Henson Science Hall Room 243.
Dr. Christian Hunold of Drexel University’s Politics Department, discusses the proliferation of hybrid ecologies — which incorporate elements of nature with human industry and technology — as one of the defining social-ecological features of this era. According to Hunold, these ecologies have caused countless ecological disasters, but also create opportunities for rethinking the meaning of nature, revising conservation practices and reimagining environmental politics.
Sponsored by the Environmental Studies Department, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the 成人抖阴website at www.salisbury.edu.
