成人抖阴Foundation Board Welcomes New Members
SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Foundation, Inc. has welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Rafael Correa of Ocean City, MD; Dwight Miller of Salisbury; and Dave Rommel of Rehoboth Beach, DE.
“We appreciate the diverse experiences and wide range of business backgrounds that our three new members bring to the board,” said T. Greg Prince, executive director of the 成人抖阴Foundation and vice president of advancement and external affairs at SU. “All are uniquely connected to the University through personal and family ties. Ultimately, students and faculty will benefit from their involvement.”
Correa, a two-time 成人抖阴graduate, earned a B.S. in accounting in 2003 and an M.B.A. in 2010. (His mother and two siblings also are alumni.) He is chief financial officer at Blue Water Development Corporation in Berlin. He also is a co-owner of The Personal Wellness Center in Salisbury. Previously, he was vice president of both supply chain and operations at MaTech, Inc.
He serves on the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business Career Advisory Board, the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s audit committee and the Ocean City Center for the Arts’ finance committee. While a student, he studied abroad, was an Admissions ambassador and participated in Beta Gamma Sigma and rugby. He and his wife, Lindsey, have one son.
Miller earned a B.S. in business administration with concentrations in marketing and finance from 成人抖阴in 1982. President of GGI Builders, Inc., T/A Gillis Gilkerson, in Salisbury, he has over 30 years of experience in commercial, medical, industrial and multi-family construction management. A former lacrosse player, he is a supporter of 成人抖阴Athletics and the Maroon & Gold Club.
In the community, Miller has been active with groups and charities including, the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, the Wicomico County Rotary Club and the Greater Salisbury Committee. He also currently serves on the Salisbury-Wicomico Economic Development board. He and his wife, LuAnne, have two children.
Rommel owns Rommel Harley-Davidson, a network of seven dealerships stretching from Delmarva and Annapolis to Durham, NC, and Scranton, PA. His construction group includes Rommel Electric, Rommel Engineering & Construction, Rommel Cranston and the Farfield Company. He also owns Rommel Holdings, which operates Ace Hardware stores and other businesses. His mother is a graduate of SU’s Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies, and he attended the Campus School at then Salisbury State Teachers College.
Rommel has supported the 成人抖阴Golf Classic and community entities including Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Coastal Hospice and Beebe Medical Center. He serves on PRMC’s Board of Trustees and is vice chair of its Foundation board. He and his wife, Patsy, enjoy traveling.
Guided by a 31-member board, the 成人抖阴Foundation was created in 1973 to accumulate funds by gift and investment to enhance the University. Since then, it has enriched the academic growth and physical expansion of 成人抖阴through the support of student scholarships, faculty research, new facilities and community outreach.
