成人抖阴Hosts Renewable Energy Conference November 29

SALISBURY, MD---Oil may someday become as extinct as the dinosaurs that comprise it, environmental experts have predicted. When that happens, many societies are expected to turn to alternative energy sources—most of which will be renewable.

Some of the region’s most prominent renewable resource experts convene at Salisbury University to discuss the future of these sources 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 29, during the ShoreEnergy Renewable Energy Conference, co-hosted by the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business and 成人抖阴Business, Economic And Community Outreach Network (BEACON).

Topics covered include bio-fuels, wind power, geothermal energy, solar energy and nuclear power. Malcolm Woolf, director of the Maryland Energy Administration, keynotes the conference.

Other speakers include Dr. Jennie Hunter-Cevera, president of the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute; Reggie Harrell, director of the Wye Research and Education Center and professor at its regional extension office; Peter Mandelstam, founder and president of BlueWater Wind; Rob Propes, Delaware project director of BlueWater Wind; Dr. Fred Kundell, chemistry faculty at SU; Dave Buemi, president and chief executive officer of Prescient Marketing, LLC, of Annapolis; and Phil Sewell, senior vice president of the United States Enrichment Corp. of Bethesda, MD.

Other highlights include remarks from 成人抖阴President Janet Dudley-Eshbach; Dr. Richard Hoffman, interim dean of the Perdue School; and Dr. Danny Ervin, director of ShoreEnergy.

The conference includes a light breakfast. An optional lunch is $10. Space is limited. To register in advance or for more information call 410-546-6001 or e-mail beacon@salisbury.edu.
