成人抖阴Named STEM Jobs Approved College
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University has been named a 2015-16 STEM JobsSM Approved College by Victory Media.
The designation spotlights campuses that offer students STEM-focused programs to best prepare them for careers in the high-growth fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
“成人抖阴continues its commitment to expanding opportunities for students interested in STEM careers and helping them pursue employment or graduate school after graduation,” said Dr. Karen Olmstead, dean of the Richard A. Henson School of Technology. “The STEM JobsSM Approved College designation confirms the great work of our faculty and staff in supporting students interested in many STEM-related fields.”
The STEM JobsSM Approved Colleges list includes only 184 campuses nationwide, selected from some 1,800 surveyed. They are rated for aligning their STEM programs with in-demand jobs; having relationships that help students get jobs; attracting and supporting diverse students and faculty; and having resources dedicated to STEM student achievement and success.
For the past five years, 成人抖阴has operated a Bridges for SUCCESS (Salisbury University’s Connections to Careers for Every STEM Student) program funded by a nearly $1 million National Science Foundation Grant to recruit and retain more students in selected STEM majors. 成人抖阴has seen a 25 percent increase in enrollments in STEM majors, particularly in physics, mathematics and computer science, and has been recognized by the American Institute of Physics for the number of physics majors it graduates.
成人抖阴is featured in the STEM JobsSM magazine and online at stemjobs.com. The campus also earned a Top 5 Industry Award for institutions profiled in the magazine that provide the best STEM training and preparation.
“We’re pleased to showcase schools like Salisbury University as an institution leading the way in this area,” said Glen Zollman, a vice president at Victory Media.
The Pittsburgh-based company offers resources about education and career opportunities for students interested in STEM fields, as well as veterans and military students.
