成人抖阴RT Faculty Present Ventilator Findings at ATS Conference
SALISBURY, MD---Faculty research in Salisbury University’s Respiratory Therapy Department recently drew national attention at the American Thoracic Society’s annual conference in San Francisco.
Working on a study funded by an unrestricted grant from Respironics, Inc., Drs. Robert Joyner, Sidney Schneider and Robert Chasse found that the Respironics BiPAP Vision ventilator provided more breathing comfort than its competitors. Results were published in the April issue of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
Applied to a clinical setting, the study suggests the Respironics ventilator would reduce discomfort within respiratory patients. However, researchers concluded additional study was needed to test the findings in intensive care and patient populations.
