成人抖阴Theatre Presents 'Murder at the Howard Johnson's'

SALISBURY, MD---Murder can be a funny thing.

That’s what Arlene Miller, her lover Mitchell Lovell and her husband Paul discover during Ron Clark and Sam Bobrick’s Murder at the Howard Johnson’s, performed as part of Salisbury University’s Bobbi Biron Theatre Program Thursday-Sunday, April 27-30 and May 4-7.

Performances are in the Black Box Theater of Fulton Hall. Curtain is 8 p.m. April 27-29 and May 4-6, 2 p.m. April 30 and May 7.

Directed by senior theatre major Adam Adkins, the comedy takes place at a 1980s Howard Johnson Motor Lodge as Paul catches his wife having an affair with Mitchell, the couple’s dentist. Murder plots within this love triangle backfire again and again with hysterical results.

“As soon as I read it, I was laughing out loud,” Adkins said. “It’s pure escapism. In a college setting, we do a lot of plays that have deep artistic meaning. Murder at the Howard Johnson’s is like a Marx Brothers film. It’s pure zaniness.”

The cast includes Stephen Young as Paul, Steve Drapalski as Mitchell and Courtney Taylor as Arlene. The crew includes stage manager Karen Muller, set designer Derek Lingle, costume designer Melissa Laur, lighting designer Karen Owens, sound technician Timothy Phillips and property master Heather Hall.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and non-成人抖阴 students. 成人抖阴ID holders receive one free ticket. For reservations call the Theatre Box Office at 410-543-6228.
