SU's Tabor Discusses Composition 'Frieze' Friday, April 15

Jerry TaborSALISBURY, MD---Musicians are used to working with half notes and quarter notes — but what about Post-It Notes?

Jerry Tabor of Salisbury University’s Music, Theatre and Dance Department has incorporated the ubiquitous office supply into his composition Frieze for 16 or more guitarists. The work, for musicians at any level of experience, was composed using hundreds of sticky notes.

He presents a lecture and workshop on the piece 5 p.m. Friday, April 15, in Fulton Hall Room 112. Guitarists planning to attend are encouraged to bring their instruments.

The event is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, awarded by the Maryland State Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Sponsored by the Music, Theatre and Dance Department, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6385 or visit the 成人抖阴website at www.salisbury.edu.
