Additional sessions will include workshops on teaching strategies for English language learners, panel discussions and demonstrations of new technologies for second language learning. ESL publishers will exhibit books and materials throughout the day and the Delmarva ESL Teachers Association (DETA) will meet in the afternoon.

The TAT Project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to address the needs of the growing population of English language learners on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. TAT disseminates teaching strategies for English language learners to inservice and pre-service teachers, principals and higher education faculty throughout the region.

Mainstream classroom teachers are especially encouraged to attend. The public is invited but registration is required. Contact Stephanie Shultz at 410-677-5009 for more information or visit the TAT Web site at www.salisbury.edu/community/tat to register online.
